Do you have incense?
Not at the moment. Our candles, diffusers, and Pillow Spray are built to layer, so you can set a different mood in each room — something energizing in the kitchen, something calming by the bed.
Are the votives customizable by scent?
Votives come in a curated selection of Blueme scents. Tell me how you want the room to feel and I'll point you to the right one.
What are your candles made from?
Our own proprietary fragrance blends — that's what sets Blueme apart, and you won't find these scents anywhere else. Each one is built around a mood, and they're poured into refillable ceramic vessels, so the candle becomes part of your routine rather than something you replace.
How long do your candles and diffusers last?
Depends on the size — I can show you the specifics. The diffusers are the low-effort option if you want a scent working in the background all day. And every vessel is refillable, so you keep the piece and just refresh the scent.
How long has this been open?
We opened our NYC flagship in September 2025 — so we're coming up on a year. We wanted a space where people could slow down, smell everything, and find the scents that actually shift how they feel.
Do you guys do personal fragrance?
It's in the works. We're extending the same mood-first approach beyond the home — scent you carry with you, not just scent you come home to.
Do you guys sell small candles?
Yes — smaller sizes are a great way to try a scent before committing, or to keep a specific mood in one room. They refill just like the larger ones.

Are your candles hand poured?
Yes. Every Blueme candle is machine poured, but every vessel is hand-made ceramic, textured to mimic stone — a Zen expression of natural imperfection, which means no two are exactly alike.
What kind of wax do you use?
A soy wax blend, formulated for a clean, even burn.
Are your candles toxic?
No. Our fragrances comply with Credo’s “Dirty List” European fragrance ingredient standards.

Do your fragrances contain essential oils?
Yes. Our blends are formulated with essential oils alongside other fragrance materials.
Can I use the ceramic vessel for food?
No. Our ceramics are not food grade. Once your candle is finished, the vessel is made to be refilled — or to hold flowers, jewelry, brushes, anything that isn’t eaten.
Are your fragrances safe around pets?
Our fragrances are not harmful to pets. That said, Our fragrances are formulated to fragrance-industry safety standards. Animals vary in their sensitivity to scent, so introduce a new fragrance gradually and give your pet a room they can leave.
What formats do you offer?
Candles in medium, large, and giant — two wicks, four wicks, and five. Reed diffusers in two sizes. An electric diffuser. And our Pillow Spray, made for linens and bedding as part of a wind-down routine, though it works as a quick reset for any room. We also introduced body wash and lotion in three fragrances.
Do you sell smaller sizes?
Yes. Smaller sizes are a good way to try a fragrance before committing, or to hold one mood in a single room. They refill exactly like the larger ones. And ours come in votive size.
Are votives available in every fragrance?
Votives come in a selected group of Blueme fragrances. Refills in additional fragrances are also available for purchase
How long do they last?
Candles last anywhere from 30-40 hours depending on the size purchase. Our reed diffusers last 4-6 weeks and can be refreshed by rotating the reeds. When used withBlueme oils, the electric diffusers can last up to 100 days depending on your strength preferences.
How do I refill?
When a Blueme candle burns down, lift the spent wax out, drop the Recandle in, and it carries the wicks its size needs to burn the way the first one did. Nothing about the ritual changes; only the wax is new.
To refill your reed diffuser, simply rinse out any previous oil, refill, and replace the reeds.

Do you offer engraving?
Yes — in the flagship and online. A name, a date, a place. Whatever means the most to you, or to the one receiving it. Cut into the vessel by laser, one letter at a time. It is set into the surface, not printed on it, so it stays as beautiful on the hundredth refill as it was the day you brought it home.
Available on the core ceramic vessels, the holiday metallic finish, and the electric diffuser.
How long does engraving take, and is there a minimum?
No minimum for a single engraved piece. Custom packaging and larger orders start at 50 pieces. Engraved orders ship in 25 days; orders with custom packaging take approximately 8 weeks from artwork approval.
Can I get custom packaging with my engraving?
Fully custom packaging is not currently available, but boxes can be engraved upon requestat our flagship store, and are subject to additional cost.
Do you do corporate gifting?
Yes. Our vessels are refillable and can be engraved, which makes them a gift that stays in use rather than one that gets used up. We handle client gifts, employee gifts, andevent and conference orders. Write to diwa@theblueme.com.
Do you do wedding gifting?
Yes. Engraved vessels work well for favors, bridal party gifts, and welcome bags, and because they’re refillable, they don’t get thrown out after the weekend. We can engrave names, the wedding date, or the venue. Write to diwa@theblueme.com.
